How the NFL Makes the Packers Schedule

The Packers will always play each team in their own NFC North division twice per season - the Chicago Bears, the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions. 10 games of their season are then scheduled against four teams from another NFC division, four teams against an AFC division and two games against 2 other NFC teams (based on last year's standings). The 16 game regular season schedule splits home games and away games evenly - 8 per.
